January 2010 - Ive been waiting for this delivery for quite sometime now, and so excited that its now in the store. Thom Browne for Moncler Gamme Bleu has been proving to be one of the hottest mens collections out now. We get constant calls and emails from customers trying to hunt down specific pieces from the f/w. The first season gamme bleu was limited a few stores in the u.s. 4 to be exact, s/s is no different. The collection is very rare and gaining allot of popularity amongst our regular customers. We are also cultivating a ton of new clients due to this line.
2nd delivery consisted of 1 parka, 2 blazers and 4 polos. The parka is a rip-stop nylon in shiny grey. It is the same fabric that is used in the 1st look of the s/s2010 show. The 2 blazers are both 3btn snaps, one in navy which is the same fabric as the parka w/snaps from first delivery. The seersucker is the 20th look from the s/s2010 show. The proportion for both of the blazers is short and the fit is slim. I wear a 46 in Dior and the 1 is a bit slim on me. The polos are the same pique and color way from the first deliver but have contrasting collars. The come white(not pictured), red, navy, and black. Customers who want these shpuld act quick because I already am sold out of many sizes from the 1st delivery plain polos.
We also re-ordered a piece that we sold out of in fall in a new color, its a long open draped cardigan in the same fabric as the 2bt cardigan. This one can be worn in a variety of ways, including upside down. There is also a range of super soft 3/4 length round neck t’s that go great under all these pieces as well as on there own in the summer. I probly need at least 2 colors, they come in grey, black and cream.
The cotton jacket is the funnest piece to dress with though. We had this jacket in wool for f/w and it sold out really quick. We do also plan in receiving it in a very soft drapey black leather which already has many customers drooling.
Attachment sizes there pieces 1-5. We start the collection at a 2. The sleeves on the pieces are very narrow, even in the larger sizes. 2=46, 3=48, 4=50, 5=52-54. With some of these the more fabric the better, its all about a strong drape.
