Junya has been worknig for comme since 84. Starting out with knitwear junya devolped technique and design that has been astonishing customers since the inception of his mainline collection 93. While they work very close together, the designers under the cdg name all have unique persepective. This season junya was heavy on military. Some pieces even had an ironic “j.w.army” patch. Junya is not only the leader in avant knitwear, he is also very well know for his Blazers and Skirts. This season the blazers were avaiable in the army greens and ripstop fabrics, junya has explored this camo concept before so it wasnt terribly exciting to me, skirts were insane. Two of the styles we bought are convertable and can be worn as a skirt or strapless dress, The outerwear is ridiculous, and of course the knitwear is killer.

Comme des Garcons and Junya Watanbe will always be one of my favorite colections to buy and sell. They were the first to do everything, and they did it best. They were dropping the crotches of pants and exploding shoulders decades ago. This Fall Winter season is gonna offer a nice variety of sculptural and signature comme pieces

So clearly amazing, The jackets range from the crinkled wool and shear fabric short sleeve awesomeness to more simple fall weight pieces with ameba shaped details. The skirts this season were truely some of the best that have been offered in a long time. I love a comme skirt. The quality will outlast any other collection and the designs are still unmatched although desperately copied. One skirt i bought in a couple fabrivs has a very simple , yet genius concept. for my twisted mond its a basic. The major design detail is a flipped up hem, executed in a confusing way that looks at first to be a mistake. CDG gained allot of notariaty when they unleashed a colection in 1997 that was dubbed by editors “lumps and bumps” which featured just that. Tumors and pads were placed on hips, bellies, torso’s and other semmingly random parts. They enlarged female anatomy to shocking points. This fall winter season had allot of similar referances, so its really nothing new for comme to inject foam into shoulders, or along the hips, this season most of the bumpy jackets will have zippers along the inside that will allow the customer to remove the pad and deflate some of the volume.

So with sale in full swing and me getting sick of staring at all the same merchandise for the past 6 months im beginning to gear up for f/w. Collection should start shipping in the next few months. here are some of my favorites from comme des garcons.

This comme represents the intention of the season. Layers with big buckle closures, redesigned basics, combinations of shapes. Comme integrates typical, well known concepts, but will execute with skewed perspective. The blazer has the proportion of a classic 2 btn peak but the interior vest with attached hood is produced in the same fabric questioning the authenticity of the layer. The fabrication adds bulk to the form, but also provides comfort and warmth. The wide leg pant is a comme silhouette from way back when. The japanese designers will always find comfort in the flow and drape of this pant. The continuity detail is a negative space and side buckle that mirrors the closures season. Customer participation is required in most comme pieces, there specifically requiring the purchasing of more comme to make this pant wearable. The look either needs a long shirt or another pair of pants underneath.
This shirt will be mine. Its nothing extremely new, ive seen similar ones here and there for a number of years, but comme button downs are my favorite. Im a real sucker for the buttons and love the boxy cut. This shirt will come in more colors.
This shirt reminds me of an old junya womens collection that featured all these plastic buckles, i feel that men should search out these type of pieces that are detailed, but still classic. Its a digestible simple design that says that the wearer is more sensitive to high design.
This is an outerwear piece that features a full front pattern piece. At this point its more then a vest, its actually the front of a jacket with another jacket on top. This concept will also be seen in the DIOR HOMME collection this season.

New In-Store is Comme Des Garcons X Beatles Spring Summer Collection. For your enjoyment we selected a group of graphic tees, button downs and bags.
The unisex collection runs from size xs to xxl. Most women wear from size xs-m and men are buying sizes from m-xxl.

The button downs have a classic Comme polka-dots then tied to The Beatles collection with the addition of green apples. The sizing is again unisex, the fit is more tailored then cdg homme plus and shirt collection.

This shape is called the Boat Bag, I have it in 3 styles. 1 style is PVC synthetic leather with the apples screened in black and green. The other Style is polyurathane and the apples and logos are embossed. The shape is unique to the Comme Beatles collection. The silhouette while word is dramatic yet the shape purposely fits the negative space of the body.

This is called the “Working Lady Bag” composed of Polyurethane Vinyl Leather with embossed logos. This is the most popular style so far. The shape is great as a day bag or large purse. The white vinyl leather gives out multiple colors when exposed to differnt light and the black remains very slick and rich.

This is the one bag im selling to both men and women. PVC giant tote with screened logs and apples.

A brief history on our relationship with Comme Des Garcons. Riccardi was one of the first stores in America to carry the Comme Des Garcons Collection and have continued to stock it for 20 plus years. Over the years weve carried every line that they produce, bought first season Junya Watanabe womens, and then years later Junya Watanabe MAN. WE LOVE COMME DES GARCONS, maybe a bit too much, but for me personaly i can not get enough of it. Comme Des Garcons currently produces a number of collections and collabortaive projects. Homme Plus is Comme Des Garcons mainline mens collection, this is the collection that is shown in paris during mens fashion week. This S/S 10 season gives us one of the best comme seasons in a long time. Im totaly amazed by the pieces so far, they look amazing, go so well together, are unlike any other collection in production, and best of all, the prices are so reasonable this season. The most expensive piece is the blazer for 1095, thats allot of blazer for that price. The shirts range from 195-250, the blue trousers with gingham lining are only 345. Im really excited to start selling this collection, i hope ill be able to grab some pieces for myself, but i doubt it’ll last that long.

Amazing i know, bad news is sizes and quantities are extremely limeted. if you want to order anything give us a call @

Also keep an eye out for limeted edition Comme Des Garcons x Beatles t-shirt collection for spring!

New York City-based MOMO is an artist of many trades– having just released his first book, 3AM-6AM, the man is now onto another release with Y3 . The two worked together on the Hayworth Mid II and the results are three pairs of simple yet colorful kicks with large bright color block graphics signature of MOMO’s work. The solid color blocks overlap one another at certain points, creating an interesting gradient shade that adds an edge to an otherwise strict color formation.
I have sizes 8,9,10,11.. with small quantities. These shoes are only available at 4 stores in the u.s. 617 266 3158

Every Fall/Winter season we receive an amazing range of cold weather jackets. The climate in boston allows its residents to wear all different weight jackets through much of the year. So many of our customers purchase 2 or 3 jackets for the year so it is very important to carry a large selection. Our customers that are new to the city will soon realize that a wool coat, a down coat and technical all weather coat is pretty much necessary in the wardrobe. The best thing about the designers that we carry is that we able to fulfill all these needs while still supplying people with many progressive and classic designs. This season we welcome the first Moncler Gamme Bleu collection by Thom Browne. These jackets are so amazing. They are beautifuly designed, the fabric choices are amazing and the fits are spot on. They are definately warm enough for the cold boston weather as they contain Moncler padding, and ar all produced in Italy. The first on we received in a cashmere blazer with white piping. This is 09signature Thom Brown jacket that’s
now available for a wider range of customers. We also recently received the Prince of Wales jacket with detachable hood. This is more of a classic jacket shape with Thom Brown style fabric and detailing. The hoods zips down the center and the lining is a classic mens shirting oxford stripe. The price for the blazer is 2,590 and the p.o.w. is 1,995. They are very limited, we got only one of each size and there is few more styles that are waiting to be shipped. We are really excited to represent the collection in boston.
I also love this Dolce quilted leather bomber that we received a couple weeks ago. It s a classic shape, hits right at the hip and has the small Dolce plate on the bottom left. The leather is so supple and the price is amzing. Another new collection for us is Attachment from Japan. They do amazing drapey jackets and shirts. The wool jacket with snaps on the shoulders and belt is selling out quick. We also have in the store an amazing leather coat from John Galliano, that can barely be described. The design features a mid-calf leghth, double breated closure and vest underneath all that. This jacket is one of those straight from the runway pieces that people search all over for, and we have it. We also have a great selection of pea coats, every man should have a pea coat in there wardrobe. We have 2 styles from Viktor and Rolf that are slim fit and are available in a black cashmere and a grey. There are plenty of other down options from Moncler and technicar options from Prada Red Line.
